How does my recipient redeem the gift card?
They get an email with their gift card and a unique code. When they book a detail at lajolladetail.com, they enter the code at checkout and the balance comes right off their total.
Can they use it toward any detail or add-on, not just the one I picked?
Yes. Every gift card is a dollar credit, so it works toward any package, any add-on, or ceramic coating. Picking a package here just sets the amount for you.
What if the detail they want costs more or less than the card?
If it costs more, they simply pay the difference when they book. If it costs less, the rest stays on their card for next time. Nothing is lost either way.
What if I do not know what size their car is?
Pick Standard, or choose a custom amount. Any small difference gets settled when they book, so you cannot really get this wrong.
Can I send it to myself first and give it in person?
Yes. Enter your own email as the recipient at checkout and the gift card comes to you, ready to hand over, print, or forward whenever the moment is right.
Does the gift card expire?
Never. No expiration date and no fees, per California law. The full value stays on the card until it is used.
Is it refundable if they do not end up using it?
